An introduction to the civil and criminal aspects of trial work. The course will review the functions of the court system in Ontario and the role of various judicial officers. The main emphasis will be on the process followed in dealing with a criminal matter. The role of the prosecution, defence, judge, jurors and witnesses will be covered.
