This course focuses upon ethical issues and dilemmas faced by individuals as citizens and as law enforcement professionals. It helps students to clarify their values and establish a framework for ethical decision making. Through case studies, scenarios and current events that arise in law enforcement you will explore strategies for the resolution of various dilemmas. A component of the course allows students to investigate the ethical codes of their chosen profession and apply ethical analysis models to dilemmas which typify those often encountered in the practice of their profession or vocation.
