This course will focus on encouraging persons who may have an emotional, physical and/or developmental disability to make decisions which will enhance satisfaction with their interactions, expectations and experiences. A variety of options available to promote and support appropriate behavioural choices will be considered including the effective communication strategies learned in Human Relations I and II. Special references will be made to "behaviour as communication " "developing a respectful and enhancing environment" and "non-violent crisis prevention and intervention."
