In this course, students demonstrate various teaching strategies to support the learning of people with developmental disabilities. Students apply a variety of strategies to teach functional skills including: augmentative communication, academics, daily life, personal care, employability, and parenting skills; along with social skills and self-advocacy. This course is practical in nature and requires the student to design and demonstrate the above skills with instructor feedback.
