In this introductory course to the field of developmental services, students describe how the philosophy of support influences the provision of care in the developmental sector. Students analyze their personal values and attitudes in relation to the standards of practice and core competencies in the field of developmental service work. Students also begin to understand their role in advocating for those in the vulnerable sector.
