This course is the fourth of nine courses that prepare the student to challenge the Gas Technician II exam as administered by Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). The student will apply building science principles as they relate to heat loss and heat gain and suggest ways of incorporating practical energy conservation measures. The student will assess duct design in air handling systems and troubleshoot problem areas. Air cleaners and humidifiers installation and maintenance are covered. Students will look at the building as a system and ensure good indoor air quality, proper ventilation, minimum moisture and maintain good comfort conditions.
