Health Occupations Aptitude Examination (HOAE) | St. Clair College

The Health Occupations Aptitude Exam (HOAE) is a computer based preadmission test for applicants to the following programs:

Applicants must complete the HOAE test as part of the application process. Your HOAE test score will be combined with your academic accomplishments to determine an overall score that is used for admissions. You can only write the HOAE exam once per application cycle.

INFO ABOUT THE HOAE TEST

The test will be conducted on a computer and will take approximately 2 hours. The test consists of the following components:

  • Academic Aptitude (75 questions).
  • Spelling (45 questions).
  • Reading Comprehension (35 questions).
  • Information in the Natural Sciences (60 questions).
  • Vocational Adjustment Index (90 questions).

NEXT STEPS & HOAE TEST DEADLINE

Your application for this program must be completed before February 1 through ontariocolleges.ca. Once St. Clair College receives your application you will receive an "acknowledgement email" that includes details about the test and forms to fill out and return to St. Clair College.
