Women's Volleyball Defeat Conestoga | St. Clair College

(Kitchener, Ontario) – The St. Clair women’s volleyball team was on the road Sunday to take on the Conestoga College Condors in Kitchener.

The Saints struggled at times with some errors but still came away with a win by a score of 3-1. Set scores were 25-21, 25-12, 20-25 and 25-16. Second year outside hitter Te-Anna Stephenson (Whitby; Sinclair Secondary) led the way offensively with 16 kills, 3 service aces and 2 digs. Rookie outside hitter Ally Kozak (Belle River; Belle River District) also had a solid match with 13 kills, 3 service aces and 6 digs. Rookie outside hitter Amelia Oliverio (Windsor; St. Joseph’s) chipped in with 9 kills, 2 service aces, 1 stuff block and 9 digs in only 3 sets played. Overall the Saints generated 69 points on offense compared to 32 for Conestoga.

With the win the Saints record improved to 6-1 on the season. St. Clair is ranked 2nd in Ontario and 10th in Canada. Conestoga fell to 1-5 on the season with the loss.
