This course focuses on the clinical application of pharmacological agents including relevant concepts surrounding selection of the appropriate medication with consideration for indications and contraindications, appropriate dosages and methods of administration. Consideration is made for various pathologies and patient presentations, preparation of medication including calculations, and evaluation of response to medication including adverse reactions and events. Patient safety and professional responsibilities related to medication administration are highlighted.
