This third, classroom-setting course, further advances the students' study and knowledge of more specialized techniques, procedures and practical skills required to work in the horticulture industry. An introduction to additional equipment, specialized tools, grounds maintenance, interior plantscapes, nursery and greenhouse practices will be stressed. More advanced cultural practices and principles will be studied with an emphasis on personal crop production projects. A list of more specialized horticulture crops will be identified and studied. Health and safety practices and procedures related to the profession will also be emphasized.
