A variety of Testing Services are available through Windsor and Chatham Campuses.

EXTERNAL TESTING (for potential students or non-students)

Admission Testing

Admission Testing is available to mature applicants who have applied to a program and do not meet the academic requirements. There are two tests; the Admission Test containing both English and math, and the English Proficiency Test. A referral from the Registrar’s is required before booking the appropriate test. Test Invigilation

Test Invigilation is available for a fee of $50.00 per sitting to anyone in the community requiring a test facilitator to administer and proctor and/or provide test results for another college, university or company, etc.

TOEIC

The TOEIC (Test of English For International Communication) is available on scheduled dates. For more information click here.

MTCU Exemption Testing

MTCU Exemption Testing is available to candidates who wish to be exempted from some or all of the formal instruction requirements by successfully completing each level Ministry approved exemption tests for any of the skilled trades.

Accommodated Testing for Students with Disabilities

Students with an accommodation plan may be eligible for accommodations, such as extended time and use of assistive technology, when taking tests and exams.

How do faculty book an accommodated test for a student in their class?

Faculty complete the faculty instruction form as provided within the student's academic accommodation plan and attach the test. (NB: accommodated tests occur at the same time as the rest of the class)

The instruction form and test will form the appointment once received by the proctor (i.e.: students need not create an appointment).

Tests are to be provided to the proctor 48 hours in advance.

The document can be submitted in one of 2 ways:

  1. Put the document in the drop box at Student Services OR
  2. Email the completed document to the proctor at your campus (please see below email contact info at the right side of this page)

Make-Up Tests

A $25.00 fee applies. Students are required to complete the Make-up Test Form (obtained at the Student Services office). Bring the Make-up Test Form to Room 345 (main campus) or to Registration Office (Chatham Campus) or to Student Services Office (downtown campus) to make payment. If payment is not complete before the make-up test, an $25 encumbrance will be placed on a student account.

How do faculty book a Make-Up test for a student in their class?

Faculty complete Make-Up Testing Instruction Form and attach the test. (NB: make-up tests are any tests that occur at a different time than the rest of the class; if an accommodated student is writing a make-up test, please check the "make-up test" box on the accommodated test instruction form)

When can faculty book a Make-Up test for a student?

SOUTH CAMPUS: make-up tests only occur after 3pm Monday - Thursday OR between 12pm - 5pm on Friday (contact the office for summer hours information)

CHATHAM CAMPUS OR SCCCA OR MEDIAPLEX: make-up test times are to be coordinated with the proctor at your respective campus.

Test Scoring

Test Scoring is a supplemental service provided to faculty at south campus who are using Multiple Choice and/or True/False test/exams. It is on a first come first serve basis and various test reports are provided. Click here for the Request for Test Scoring Form. Faculty may also use the Test Scoring equipment located in their program area.
