Business Accounting Students Help Seniors With Their Taxes
It’s our 50th anniversary here at St. Clair College and along with that comes our ’50 Acts from the Heart’.
Our latest act comes courtesy of the college’s 2nd year Business Accounting students.
Students got a chance to practice their skills during a free tax clinic for seniors at the Active Lifestyle Centre.
Lead by Professor Shelley Cook, the students completed around 85 tax returns for seniors.
Dawn, a senior at the Centre said, “I depend on this service. I am on a limited income and this service is needed. It helps the students and our community.”
The students plan to offer another free tax clinic later this month.
