Fashion Design Students Make ‘100 Dresses For Africa’
It’s our 50th anniversary here at St. Clair College and along with that comes our ’50 Acts from the Heart’.
The latest act begins at St. Clair College and spans across the globe!
For the second year in a row, our Fashion Design Program has designed and created 100 dresses for girls in Africa as part of the ‘100 Dresses For Africa’ project.
More than 30 first and second year students as well as instructors from the program cut, sew, press and finish the garments which are then shipped to the Upper West Region of Ghana.
Students get to practice preparation, production and quality control while helping children in one of the most impoverished regions in the world.
