PROGRAM GOALS
Pre-Technology is designed to give students the basics necessary to apply to and excel in a number of St. Clair College programs including: Architectural Technology, Chemical Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technician-Civil, Electronics Engineering – Industrial Automation, Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Interior Design, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Motive Power, Power Engineering Technology (Fast Track) and Woodworking Technician.
Students successfully completing the Pre-Technology Certificate with a cumulative grade point average of 2.7(B) in all 12 courses will be granted automatic acceptance* into any one of the above listed programs.
* Please note that a number of St. Clair College programs have additional specific admission/selection criteria that must be achieved prior to acceptance. For details on program specific admission/selection criteria, please see appropriate program pages in this publication and speak with the Program Coordinator identified.
