PGM PROGRAM TO BENEFIT FROM NEW FACULTY MEMBER'S EXPERTISE
Kevin Corriveau, a seasoned golf professional, joined the Business Administration – Professional Golf Management (PGM) program in January 2007. He has been involved with the program since its inception, acting as a liaison between St. Clair College and the Canadian Professional Golfer’s Association (CPGA). Prior to accepting the full-time faculty position Corriveau was head coach for the Saints Golf team, leading the women to a Provincial and National Championship in the 2005 – 2006 season.
In 2008 Corriveau, was elected as the Ontario representative for the Canadian Professional Golf Association (CPGA) Board. He is acting as a liaison between St. Clair College and the CPGA. He is also Vice President of the Ontario Professional Golfers' Association (PGA).
Corriveau holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is an Ontario PGA Board Member, the current OPGA Tournament Captain and an acknowledged and credited Class A Golf Professional with the CPGA. Corriveau is a published golf writer and hosts the Saturday morning “Live and Local” golf radio segment on AM800 in Windsor.
Over the past 16 years, Corriveau has held several positions at Fox Glen Golf Club in McGregor, Ontario, including head golf professional, CPGA Director of Golf and golf retail pro shop owner. He was general manager of the facility from 2003 to 2006. Corriveau has been golfing since he was 12.
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue to mentor people who are interested in the business of golf. For me, it’s a dream come true”, said Corriveau. “I enjoy bringing my experiences and knowledge from my lifelong passion for golf to the students.”
