ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
OSSD with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level qualify for admission to this program.

ADDITIONAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Letter or resume outlining golf related experience or other customer oriented service positions held outside of golf.
  • Demonstrate a reasonable knowledge and adequate proficiency in golf.
PROGRAM GOAL
Integrating business activities with knowledge of the day-to-day management of a golf facility are the foundation components in the Golf program. Students graduate with skills prepared to be involved in retailing, managing resources, marketing, turf and landscape management, and food and beverage operations.

This program will appeal to students with a passion for the game of golf. It is important to have an interest in business and good interpersonal skills.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
  • Meets all formal educational requirements of the Canadian Professional Golfers' Association
  • St. Clair College has a partnership with Roseland Golf Club. It is minutes from the campus and provides an outstanding environment that will enhance student learning. It is an 18 hole par 72 heritage designated course where some of the hands-on lab work will take place. This includes club fitting, club repair and golf cart management.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Diverse opportunities exist in the golf industry at golf courses, sports complexes and at golf resorts. Entry level positions include being an associate golf professional, teaching, marketing, running golf tournaments and golf sales. With experience, graduates can become:
