Courtney Deelen

Upon graduating from St. Clair College's Musical Theatre Performance program, Courtney spent two summer seasons performing as a dancer/singer at Diamond Tooth Gerties Casino in Dawson City, Yukon.

After completing her final season in Dawson in 2011, she moved to Toronto and began training with Matthew Harrison of The Actor's Foundry located out of Vancouver, BC. Courtney quickly fell in love with a new way of telling stories, and eventually decided to completely change the focus of her career path from live theatre to film and television. She now studies with Sophie Ann Rooney and is one of the youth acting instructors at her RAWacting Studio in Toronto.

After an exciting flashback to the 80's playing Paul Spence's (FUBAR) wife and roles on "Suits", "Reign", and “Murdoch Mysteries”, Courtney became a member of ACTRA, where she is involved in YEAA, ACTRA Toronto’s “Young Emerging Artists Assembly”.

She is now expanding her resume as a producer and writer. Since developing her production company DEELEN with TROUBLE, Inc. with her partner Michael T. Burgess, they have successfully completed 5 short films, a PSA, a concept trailer, 3 commercials and a music video within the last 2 years.

Courtney continues to create her own work in film and on stage, giving her the freedom to tell the stories and to collaborate with artists that inspire her. You can follow her on Twitter @CourtneyDeelen and check out her website for more updates.
