HOW DO I ACCESS MY ONLINE COURSE?
St. Clair College uses a product called Blackboard to host its online courses. The Blackboard website (http://blackboard.stclaircollege.ca) is where your instructor will post all course related information and announcements.

NEW! Students will no longer create their accounts or enroll themselves into their course section(s) on Blackboard. Students will be automatically enrolled into the appropriate Blackboard section(s) within 24 hours once their registration and payment for the course(s) has been processed.

To log onto Blackboard:

1. You will be able to access Blackboard by using the letter
"W" followed by your seven digit Student Number as your
     username.
2. If this is your first time in Blackboard, or if you had previously used
a different username, then for your password, you should use
your birthdate in the format of YYYYMMDD. For instance, a Student
with the Student Number of 1234567 whose birthdate was
     April 1st 1986 would use:

Username: W1234567
Password: 19860401

3. You will see a link for each Blackboard course in which you are
enrolled from your "Courses" tab immediately after each course
has been made available to you and your fellow classmates. If
your course is still not available after the official start date, or
within 3 days of your registration thereafter, please call
     (519) 972-2711 to speak to the Department of Continuing
     Education.

4. The course(s) for which you have registered should appear each
     time you log onto Blackboard.

If you encounter difficulties finding your course(s) on Blackboard, please contact the St. Clair College help desk at (519) 966-1656 extension 2500. The help desk is open weekdays from 7:30am to10:00pm.

YOUR COURSE SECTION
Multiple sections of some online courses have been set up (e.g. -065, -066, -068.) Please check your registration status to determine which course section you are in. You can do this by going to www.stclaircollege.ca, clicking the Current Students - Self Service link, and clicking the Self-Service Log-On link to access your student information in the self-service system. You can find your eCampus course section by checking your schedule. If you are unfamiliar with the self-service system, please consult the Self-Service Instructions on the Current Students - Self Service page, or call (519) 972-2711 to speak to the Department of Continuing Education.

ONSITE FINAL EXAMS REQUIRED
Effective September 1, 2007, all St. Clair College eCampus courses will include an in-person final examination. All students residing within a 150-km radius of either the Thames Campus or the South Campus are required to appear in person at either campus to write their final exams.

Students who wish to write at the Thames Campus rather than at the South Campus must notify the Continuing Education Office. Students residing outside this 150-km radius may obtain special permission to write their final exam(s) at a college or university near them. Students are responsible for any test invigilation fees that may apply at other colleges or universities. Such individuals must contact the Continuing Education Office to make special arrangements. Please note the non-negotiable final examination date for each eCampus course, and avoid registering for two or more courses that have the same final examination date and time.
