Five St. Clair College students brought home medals from the 14th Annual Ontario Skills Competition held in Waterloo May 4 - 6, 2008.

For the second year in a row, 3rd year Mechatronics students Jamie Feenstra and Andrew Marcolin brought home the Gold Medal. In 2007 they won the Gold Medal in the Ontario Skills competition and then took the Gold medal at the Canadian Skills Competition that same year.

For the other medalists it was their first time in this competition and they were thrilled with the opportunity to compete. "It was an amazing experience," says Terren Thorne, who participated in the Esthetics competition. "The knowledge and skills I received in the program very much prepared me for this competition."

As Gold Medal winners, both Feenstra and Marcolin will advance to the Canadian Skills Competition in Calgary May 25 - 27, 2008.
