Today, College President Dr. John Strasser was joined by Student Representative Council President, Justin Fox, Student Athletic Association President, Heather Galloway and Alumni Association President, Derek Renaud, pledging to raise the shortfall of $50,000 that Goodfellows and this community desperately need.

The College family will present Goodfellows with a cheque for $50,000 on Friday, December 17th. 

In their recent campaign to raise money to help families in need, Goodfellows fell short of their goal of $250,000 by $99,000. In recent days, many have stepped up to help to close the gap and today on Friday, December 3rd they still remain $50,000 short of their goal.

The community is asked to join our pledge. The college will set up a table in the main lobby at our south Windsor Campus beginning Monday, December 6th, to receive your donations from the community between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm seven days a week until 5:00 pm on December 16th. 

If the any community partners make a $5,000 donation, the college culinary team at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, have volunteered to reward you and seven other guests with an evening of fine dining at your home, at a mutually agreeable date between January 1, 2011 and March 31, 2011. 

Our team, led by award winning Chef Mike Jimmerfield and Sous Chef Carmen Incitti will be joined by Executive Chef John Kukucka, from the Essex Golf and Country Club, in the preparation of this feast. 

If a community partner were to donate $10,000 the team is prepared to extend the number of guests to 20 and our teaching Chef Marc Johnston will donate an ice sculpture creation containing a corporate logo.
