Chef Michael Jimmerfield wins The Culinary Guild of Windsor’s Challenge



Ahron Goldman, President of CCFCC Windsor/The Culinary Guild of Windsor, is pleased to announce that the champion of the CCFCC Windsor Chefs Challenge 2009 is Chef Michael Jimmerfield, CCC. The event took take place on Saturday, 24 January, 2009 at 9am at Century Secondary School 1375 California Av, Windsor, ON.

Chef Michael from the CCFCC Windsor will be representing our branch at the CCFCC Central Region Chefs Challenge in Barrie, ON, on 28 February. The winner of the regional challenge will represent the CCFCC Central Region at the CCFCC National Convention in Kelowna, BC in May 2009. This competition will place the CCFCC’s four regional Champions in a competition for the CCFCC National Chefs Challenge. Chef Michael prepared a well balanced 3 course menu for twenty-five persons in an allotted time frame, using the proteins prescribed by the CCFCC National Competition Committee.

Members of the community attended the luncheon by purchasing tickets from CCFCC Windsor/The Culinary Guild of Windsor. The proceeds from the luncheon will go to fund our Champion’s expenses for additional practice material, travel expenses and registration at the CCFCC Central Region Conference in Barrie. The success of the luncheon was made possible in part by donations of product from Morton Wholesale and Summit Foods. CCFCC Windsor/The Culinary Guild of Windsor is once again striving to improve upon education and experience for area chefs.
