St. Clair College's Martin Labute continued his outstanding season bringing home the CCAA National Cross Country Championship Individual Men's Bronze Medal. This event was hosted in Grande Prairie, Alberta by Grande Prairie College on Saturday, November 10. Labute had a time of 27:21 in the 8 km event which featured the top 93 college runners from across Canada.

Coach Mark Beens was extremely proud of Labute's efforts. "It was the best race I have ever seen Martin run. He followed his strategy perfecting against the best competition he has ever faced," stated Beens. In fact the only two men to beat Labute were both from exchange students from Kenya.

The National Bronze matches the same medal that Labute brought home from the OCAA Championships two weeks ago. Last year at the Nationals Labute just missed out on the medals finishing in 4th place.
