The CCFCC Windsor/The Culinary Guild of Windsor, a branch of the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) is
proud and delighted to announce the following:
Chef Michael Jimmerfield, CCC has won the CCFCC Central Region 2009
Chef's Challenge in Barrie, ON. Chef Michael and his assistant Chef Dan
Beaulieu prepared a 3 course menu for 25, using proteins and rules
prescribed by the CCFCC National Culinary Chair.
Chef Michael, competed against challengers from Toronto (Silver Medal) and
Muskoka (Bronze Medal) for the right to represent the Central Region at the
upcoming CCFCC National Convention and National Chef's Challenge in
Kelowna, BC, 31 May – 4 June. The winner of the National Challenge will
represent Canada at the Continental Challenge in Peru in 2009.
CCFCC Windsor/The Culinary Guild of Windsor would like to send our
appreciation to Morton Wholesale for their very generous support. Phil
Quenneville of Morton Wholesale made arrangements for Chef Michael and
Dan's travel and accommodation expenses for the Challenge in Barrie.
Additionally, Phil provided Chef Michael with the necessary proteins to
practice with prior to the challenge.
Congratulations to both Chef Michael Jimmerfield, CCC and Dan Beaulieu
for their hard work, dedication and contributions to the culinary and hospitality
industry in Windsor-Essex County.
