Dennis DesRosiers Visits Automotive Product Design Students
|

Dennis DesRosiers, one of North America’s leading auto industry analysts, appeared on campus as a guest lecturer. On April 19, he lectured to an audience of Automotive Product Design students for an hour about the devastation sustained by the North American “Big Three” during the past decade.
DesRosiers also doled out autographed copies of his new book during his visit to the college.
“The Best of ‘Observations’” is a compilation of DesRosiers’ journalistic opinion-pieces, written during his 40-year-long career as an industry analyst. When he set out to assemble the book, DesRosiers had expected to print only 500 copies, bankrolled by five automotive manufacturers and suppliers, with proceeds earmarked to establish a couple of small student bursaries. But, after sending out an invitation for support to a number of companies, he received donations from almost all – over 50 – of them. That enthusiastic response has led to a printing, now, of 5,500 copies of the book.
