(London, Ontario) – The St. Clair College women's soccer team wrapped up their OCAA regular season schedule with an upset win over the top ranked Fanshawe Falcons on Tuesday evening in London.
The Saints defeated the Falcons by a score of 1-0. Cassie Nicholas got the only goal of the match in the 13th minute. Tory Brown was solid in net in picking up the win and clean sheet.
With the win St. Clair ended their regular season schedule with a record of 7-2-1 in 2nd place in the OCAA West Division just 1 point behind Fanshawe. Fanshawe is currently ranked 4th in Ontario and 11th in Canada.
St. Clair will take on the 4th place team in the East Division on Sunday afternoon in a playoff match at 1 pm with the winner advancing to the OCAA Championship in Sudbury the following weekend.
(Windsor, Ontario) – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team dropped an exhibition game with NCAA Division III Oberlin College (Oberlin, OH) by a score of 74-67 Tuesday night at the SportsPlex. The Saints were down 23-14 after the opening quarter and trailed 40-25 by halftime but started to claw their way back in the 3rd quarter. St. Clair managed to get within striking distance early in the 4th quarter and were only down 60-55. However, that was as close as the game would get down the stretch as Oberlin used strong outside shooting and took advantage of foul trouble for the Saints.
Jermaine Lynch (Windsor, ON/ JL Forster) scored a game high 16 points and added 5 assists for St. Clair in the loss. Nik Veigli (Essex, ON) also reached double figures with 10 points for the Saints.
