(Windsor, Ontario) – The St. Clair College Men’s Baseball team picked up a 4-2 win over the University of Windsor Wednesday night at Amherstburg’s Libro Centre.
The Saints scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning but allowed a pair of runs in the 4th which tightened up the score. St. Clair added an insurance run in the 5th inning to complete the scoring. Mitchell Prsa (Tecumseh, ON/Tecumseh Vista) picked up the win on the mound for the Saints working a pair of scoreless innings to start the game. Good relief innings were turned in by Brendan Warnock (Windsor, ON/ Walkerville) and Mitchell Gault (Tecumseh, ON/Kennedy) with Michael McKay (Miramichi, NB) capping the game with a save. Although St. Clair stranded 11 baserunners in the game Patrick Kibble (Windsor, ON/Riverside) had a single and a double with an RBI to lead the Saints offensively followed by Garik Godard (Belle River, ON/Belle River) who had a pair of walks and a hit.
The Saints to host Durham College (5-3) in a doubleheader on Saturday as part of St. Clair’s 50th Anniversary celebrations which will be at played Fergie Jenkins Field in Chatham’s Rotary Park. Game times are 1:00pm and 3:00pm and admission is free. On Sunday the Saints come back to Lacasse Park in Tecumseh to host Humber College (6-2) with game times at 1:00pm and 3:00pm also.
