(Nanaimo, British Columbia) – The St. Clair College Mixed Doubles pair of Somath Kong (Windsor, ON/Vincent Massey) and Alaina Lee (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) won a Bronze Medal at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship hosted by Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC this past weekend.

After a 2-3 record in round robin play on Thursday and Friday the rookie players were the 4th seed in the semi-finals. This marks the second medal for St. Clair at the National level in Mixed Doubles and the first since Julie Schell and Vuong (Johnny) Tran won a bronze in 2011. This is just the fourth medal in CCAA history for St. Clair in Badminton with a 2010 Men's Doubles Bronze Medal (Vuong Tran/Sam Lamoure) and a 1991 Women's Singles Bronze Medal (Penny Parkes) rounding out the exclusive club for the Saints.
