(Windsor, Ontario) – Hundreds of local Grade 8s participated in the Amazing Skills Challenge at St. Clair's main campus this week.
Working in partners, the students earned points by fulfilling a number of interactive challenges. Some of the various activities include: suiting up in safety gear, like a harness and helmet, and latching on to a pole to experience the Powerline Technician program, dunking a balloon in liquid nitrogen to experience the Chemical Laboratory Technician program and balancing a tray full of beverages to experience the Hospitality Management program.
The Amazing Skills Challenge is a way to get young students interested in careers that are possible after graduating St. Clair College. The event took place yesterday and today and will continue next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thanks to all the staff and faculty involved to make this event once again a great success!
