St. Clair Student Wins Rare Provincial Leadership Scholarship
Windsor, ON - St. Clair College student Maya Stanisic is one of just thirteen students from across Ontario to win a prestigious scholarship.

The College Student Alliance (CSA) Leadership Scholarship recognizes outstanding student leaders across Ontario who have demonstrated exceptional work on campus and in their community.

"I am extremely happy to have won this scholarship. It's an amazing feeling of accomplishment," said Stanisic. "I feel honoured and proud of myself and my hard work and dedication, and to be acknowledged and represent St. Clair College."

Stanisic is in her second year of the Business Administration – Human Resources program. Since starting at St. Clair College, she has been actively involved in a number of school activities and programs, such as her role as Director of Sport for the Student Athletic Association, mentor for first-year students, Saint Brigade for the Marketing Department and class representative for second-year Human Resource Management students.

"Throughout my academic career I made it my goal to be actively involved where I could help another student, peer, or a friend, and I believe I have accomplished that goal," said Stanisic.

Now in its fifth year, the scholarship is presented to up to fifteen college students across the province annually. Each recipient will receive a certificate, a letter of recognition, and a financial award of $1,000 from the CSA.

"This year's applicants were a truly outstanding group and I am honoured to have been a part of the selection process," said Matt Stewart, President of the College Student Alliance. "The CSA Leadership has evolved over the past five years and you can look for further growth in the next year."

Stanisic said there are so many opportunities for students to get involved with St. Clair College, and the CSA Leadership Scholarship is a great way to get recognized for their hard work and involvement.
