St. Clair Wins Red Cross Award 4th Year in a Row
Windsor, Ontario - For the fourth year in a row, St. Clair College's Aquatic Services has been nationally honoured for their educational aquatic programs.

The college was once again given the Canadian Red Cross Swimming & Water Safety Training Partner Award for an Educational Institution. The award recognizes St. Clair for its achievement in swimming and water safety programs for 2014.

St. Clair College trained about 3,700 students last year. Classes were offered for members of the community of all ages, spanning from just four months old up to senior citizens.

"St. Clair College services tens of thousands of visitors to the pool annually," said Jeff McEwan, Aquatics and Recreational Facilities Manager. "A large portion is through swimming and water safety lessons, but also for the college students, elementary and secondary school boards, as well as the community members for general recreation. We love having the pool busy and full of activities!"

Nationwide last year, the Canadian Red Cross trained about 1.1 million people through Swimming and Water Safety Training.

Summer programs at St. Clair's pool will begin the week of July 6. All information is available online at www.stclaircollege.ca/aquatics or by calling 519-972-2727 ext. 4218.
