Two St. Clair Baseball Teams Won Gold Medals
Windsor, ON - St. Clair College is in deep celebration mode after a pair of gold medals were won this past weekend in OCAA Championship play.

Saints Men's Baseball and Women's Softball teams continued their hot streaks by winning the OCAA Provincial Gold Medals.

The Men's Baseball team capped another great OCAA campaign winning 6-4 over the host Durham College at Oshawa's Kinsmen Memorial Park Saturday afternoon.

The Saints ran the table with a 3-0 record in the 4-team double knockout format. Rob Cooper was named Championship MVP and pitched the final outs for the save, adding a pair of hits at the plate. LaSalle boys Joel Cooper and Crannel Jerald were also named to the Championship All-Star team.

2014 OCAA Champions - Women's Softball

The Women's Softball team won the gold with a 7-5 victory over Conestoga (Kitchener) Saturday afternoon at Mic Mac Park to claim its first crown since 2009. This was the fourth OCAA title for St. Clair's Softball team since the program started in 2002.

Windsor's Alexa Georgiou was named Most Valuable Player for the Championship Tournament pitching complete games in all three wins for the Saints. She was also the leading hitter in the tournament finishing with a 0.727 batting average and was tops for the weekend with 6 RBI's and a home run. St. Clair centre fielder Lisa Ternosky from Windsor was also named to the Championship All-Star Team batting 0.556 overall.
