Four SCC Teams Earn Prestigious Spot In National Skills Comp.
Windsor, ON - After earning four gold medals at the Skills Canada - Ontario competition in Waterloo earlier this month, students from St. Clair College advance to the national Skills Canada competition held June 5 & 6 at the International Centre in Toronto.

The Gold Medalists who will advance to the Nationals are:

  • Scott Slater - Mechanical CADD
  • Zac Hertel & Shaun St Pierre - Landscape Horticulture
  • Sydney Taylor - Graphic Design
  • Mandy Duguay - Hairstyling Apprentice

"This has been an outstanding year for St. Clair College students in this exciting competition," says Waseem Habash, Associate VP Academic. "There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into preparing students to compete. Our faculty coaches have done an outstanding job of helping students achieve their best."

In total, St Clair College students brought home 17 medals including Graphic Design student Ryan Frith, who won the medal design contest. As a result of the outstanding achievements of the students, the college received the College of Distinction award for the highest overall points in the competition. The other medal winners are:
