Interior Design Students Win Caesars Windsor Award
Interior Design Students Win Caesars Windsor Award This semester, the Interior Design program had the opportunity to team up with the world-class, Four-Diamond Hotel at Caesars Windsor to generate some conceptual ideas for several of their award-winning hotel suites. Second year students took on the project with the guidance of Sandra Ellis from the St. Clair College and James Hollohazy, Director of Resort Operations at Caesars Windsor.

The students provided the property with a package of design drawings and illustrations and presented their ideas to a panel of Caesars Windsor representatives. The representatives were so impressed with the calibre of the student’s work, they generously donated $1500 to the program of which $500 was awarded to the top conceptual team of designers - Sylvia Vander Shee and Daniel Trifan. The remaining $1000 is going towards their 3rd year student’s yearly field study trip. Program Faculty Sandra Ellis was thrilled with the opportunity. "This is a great learning experience for the students, to have a real world project to work on. The level of work all of our students completed was amazing. We have a very talented group of future interior designers."
