To comply with the new federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (PIPEDA) which came into effect on January 1, 2004, to respect the privacy of residents in Canada, the St. Clair College Foundation commits to respect and protect our donors' personal information.

Generally, information collected by the Foundation includes a donor's name, address, telephone number, business information, spouse's name, St. Clair College events attended, and diploma information if he/she is a graduate.

Information is collected with the sole intent of servicing our donors to the best of our ability. At any time, a donor may request the right to withhold any personal information; however doing so may hinder our ability to serve that donor to the best or our ability. A donor's consent is implied unless the donor advises us otherwise.

The Foundation at no time sells, shares or trades donor information with any other organization. If this were ever required, a request in writing to our donors would be obtained.

The Foundation does its best to keep personal information for each of our donors up to date. The donors should make address, marital status or other pertinent information changes to the Foundation at the earliest opportunity to ensure the accuracy of our records.
