About OntarioLearn
St. Clair College is a member of OntarioLearn which is a consortium of all Ontario colleges that deliver online learning. You register with and receive credit from St. Clair College but the course is delivered by an instructor at another college. All of these courses are section 067 and start with the letters ONT to differentiate them from other online courses.   Start Dates
OntarioLearn (course codes starting with ONT) courses start September 10 (Fall) and January 14 (Winter). You will not be able to access your course prior to the official start date and for those registering during the first week of the course, it may take up to 3 business days to activate your account. Registration ends one week after start date.

The Campus Bookstore hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, during Continuing Education start-up, the Campus Bookstore extends their hours to assist with your textbook and learning material requirements.

  Exam Information
Some OntarioLearn courses require you to write your exam at St. Clair College or another educational institution. Exam dates, times, and other information can be found here .

  How To Get Started
An information card is mailed to all OntarioLearn course registrants. Students can begin to access their course no earlier than the start dates (above) The first week of the course has been designed to orient students with the on-line format and platform. At this time, the instructor will post a course syllabus/outline.

2 digit college code (st for st.clair)+ (-)dash+ first 3 chracters of firstname + last name (maximum of 12 characters so if your last name is longer you will have to use only the first 9 letters)
all lowercase
no spaces
no periods
no hyphens / dashes except after 2 digit college code

Please note not all classes are offered on the FirstClass platform. On the Login page you will notice the course and the platform used to deliver the course.

Computer Hardware / Software Requirements
PC Pentium I, Windows 95 or greater, min. 8 MB Ram, min. 28.8 modem or comparable Mac system. Students are required to purchase the software required to successfully complete the course.

  Academic Policies
Although the course for which you are registered may be a course offered from another Ontario college, students must abide by the academic policies stated by St. Clair College. These policies are outlined below:

Course Cancellations
St. Clair College reserves the right to cancel/reschedule courses as may be necessary from time to time. In the event that the College cancels your course, your course fees will be fully refunded and mailed within a 3 to 5 week period.

Refund Policy for On-line Courses
An official withdrawal before the first week of the semester will result in a full refund. An official withdrawal after the first week and before the third week of the semester will result in a full refund LESS a $25.00 Administration Fee. No refund will apply to an official withdrawal on the first day of the third week of the semester or later. If you cannot continue your class, (whether or not you are in time for a refund), please inform the college so that your student record will indicate a withdrawal as opposed to a fail (F).

Grade Reports
Grades will be mailed out approximately 3 weeks after the end of the semester..
