Activities - Beyond the Classroom

The Thames Institute of the Arts is not all classroom study. This program is meant as a complete get-away from the everyday for its participants. The full Thames Institute experience continues into the evening through a series of activities designed to keep the artistic community together and promote social interaction between classes, staff and faculty. Some is educational and some is purely for the fun of it.

Monday:
Wine and Cheese Reception
On-campus social gathering for staff, faculty and participants which will include some instructor artwork.

Tuesday:
Instructor Presentations
A presentation by all instructors to display and explain their work and recent creations.

Thursday:
Open House
Students, family, friends and community members are welcome to visit classrooms and watch the work in progress and talk with instructors.
The open house will be followed by an optional evening of dining together.

Dining Together
A casual evening of fine dining for students and staff.
Tickets are approximately $25 per person and sold on Campus until noon Wednesday.

Friday:
Farewell Barbeque Luncheon
A final lunch prepared and served on the Campus Patio (weather permitting) for students and instructors.
For those who are interested, the annual bocce game will also be played at this time.
